The task
Tour operators price trips for two, so travelling alone costs more. SiTuSi helps you find a companion by destination, dates, budget and pace of travel, so two people can go together and split the costs.
The constraints
As the first stage the founder needed a demo for talks with investors: no server and no sign-up, but good enough to walk through the whole user journey.
The solution
We built the app in React and TypeScript: trip search with filters, a trip card that compares going solo with going as a pair, a profile with interests and reviews, a step-by-step trip creation wizard. In the next stage it got its own Go server with PostgreSQL and Redis: sign-up, chat between companions and «dreams» — trips a person is looking for company on.
The result
The demo grew into a closed beta. The project is now paused by the founder's decision, so there is no live link — the screenshots were taken from a local copy on demo data.
